Mondays are particularly difficult right now. I used to not work on Mondays so it’s a bit of a shock when my alarm goes off at 6 am. Also I just got back from two weeks of vacation so the reality of work is hard. To make matters more complicated, my boss, who is also one of my fave work friends, had her last day last Tuesday. While I really like my new boss, it’s still a big change. I was very lucky to be working for LaDonna who both challenged me and advocated for me. And we always had a good time working together.
So now how do I cope with Mondays?
1. Tea. I really like Buckingham Palace which is really just a fancy Earl Grey from Tea Embassy.
2. Exercise. Working out on my lunch break is proven to make me a more pleasant person. If I go to the gym at the correct time I can also catch an episode of Law and Order: SVU or Bones which is also proven to make me a more pleasant person.
3. Listening to music ALL day. I am never not listening to music. I switch around from listening to Songza, KUTX, or Spotify. All depends on the mood.
